March 2016

Time has passed so quickly this season. We have had so many activities and events going on (too numerous to mention them all). Our many meals have been well attended with a packed clubhouse most of the time.20151111_125318_resized
The Entertainment Room is full nightly with card players, pool players and domino lovers, as well as those puzzle people. It is just great seeing all having so much fun.

We have had 1 petanque tournament (with another this Saturday), a Baseball Bang tournament against another park (MRV won by the way), a Pool tournament and there is a Euchre tournament coming up Monday. Busy, Busy, Busy! Many things go on in the clubhouse daily.
Skeet shooting, pistol shooting and archery have had a good attendance.

We have a new activities director for next season, Shirley Clemenson, who is busy already filling our calendar for when you return.
Our 6 petanque courts stay full each morning, Monday thru Friday and Wednesday evening. More and more people are learning to play and are really enjoying it.
Although we have had some cool days in January and February, the pool is keeping busy, while the sunbathers are out trying to get that beautiful tan to take North with them.

We held 2 appreciation day lunches with a non-perishable food item donation request per person payment which was delivered to our local food bank.
We have held a 50/50 drawing each week with 50% given to the winner and 50% will be given to several youth projects in the area.

Our managers, Bill and Carol Federspiel along with the Florida Regional manager, Timothy Wright, all say “Hello, and Come On Down to MRV” next season and join in the fun”. We have something for everyone.
Much is being planned over the summer months in anticipation of your return or perhaps your first visit.

Do not tarry, make your plans early as sites are being booked already.

This is Theda wishing you safe travels, happy camping and good health.
